About ITSA
ITSA(Indian Telecommunication Services Association) is an Association of ITS officers.
The Indian Telecommunications Service, widely known as ITS, is an organised Group A Central Civil Service of Government of India. The appointment to this service is done through Combined Engineering Services exam held every year by Union Public Service Commission (UPSC) of India. The service has been created to meet the technical and managerial functions of the government in areas related to telecommunications.The Department of Telecommunications (DOT) had been run for years by this cadre of civil servants.The officers of ITS are working in senior management and administrative positions in the Department of Telecommunications (DOT), Bharat Sanchar Nigam Limited (BSNL), Mahanagar Telephone Nigam (MTNL), Telecom Consultants India Limited (TCIL), Telecom Regulatory Authority of India (TRAI),Telecom Dispute Settlement Administrative Tribunal (TDSAT),Unique Identification Authority of India (UID), Central Vigilance Commission (CVC) etc.At present, ITS officers are also working in many other central and state government assignments on deputation. |

1. Applications are invited from ITS Group A Officers of Department of Telecom (DoT) for Recruitment as Sr.DGM and GM/PGM/CGM in Telecom Operations Stream in BSNL on immediate absorption basis.
2. On-line registration of application is mandatory for the above recruitment.
3. For on-line registration, applicants are requested to log in at website www.externalexam.bsnl.co.in and can register themselves by giving valid e-mail id and any password. The applicants are also requested to remember this e-mail id and password for future use.
4. No application form without on-line registration shall be entertained.
Note: (i) On-line Registration of applications will commence from 27-01-2012.
(ii) Closing date for On-line Registration is 14-02-2012.

| | MTNL Issues RR[1/20/2012] |
| | MTNL, a schedule –‘A’/ Navaratna CPSE, providing telecommunication services in Delhi
and Mumbai invites applications from Group ‘A’ ITS officers of Dept. of Telecom working
in DoT or on deputation to any other Govt. Depts. or PSUs for filling up the posts of
DGMs(40) and GMs(30) through direct recruitment.
SENIORITY: The executive recruited through this recruitment process shall be placed junior
to the officer already working in MTNL on regular basis in the respective grade.
No claim for fixing higher seniority based on past service shall be entertained in
this regard.
ii) The weightage criteria in clause 3(iii) shall be used only for selection of
candidates. The Inter-se Seniority among recruited executives in their post shall
be fixed in accordance with the latest inter-se-seniority as maintained by DoT.
